75 and Sunny!

It's official...no more lazy weekends for a while. The summer season is in full swing with so much to do. Working outside every weekend, birthday parties galore, trips, etc. Not to mention getting ready for "Baby D" and continuing our house renovations.

Saturday morning I took Ava to the Troy Farmers Market. We went with Felice, Conal, Bridget & Maddie. In lieu of fresh produce, I ended up with organic homemade salsa ($7) and organic almond butter ($13!). Oops!

Chet finished up painting Ava's room (thank goodness) and I went furniture shopping for a 5 drawer chest to match Ava's other white furniture. Seven furniture stores later I settled on a chest and picked up a twin mattress/box springs to boot. Check that off the list...every little bit counts!

Sunday the neighbor girls came over to play with Ava and we spent the rest of the day outside. Ava helped Daddy move around some more dirt. I tell ya, that pile has been reduced by half since he began... but it is still HUGE! He took her for a few spins on the tractor, which she loves. Now he's out there chopping down the landscaping along the front of the house. Yikes!

We took a walk to our "local lemonade stand". Three cups later we decided to do some art projects on the deck. After getting quite messy, we washed up. Ava said, "Oh la la...this is nice" as she soaked her mucky toes.

To top it all off, Chet & Ava took their first dip in the pool. I guess the water temp is almost 80 already. I will wait till it gets to 85...watch out, pregnant lady swimming!

Tomorrow is Memorial Day, it's supposed to be 80. I'll take it!
