Technicals

Today I had my weekly Dr. appt. I'll go back every Thursday until I deliver. Things are progressing. The baby is in position, head down. That shouldn't change...so that's good.

Here are my stats:
70% effaced (I will need to get to 100%)
1 cm dilated (I will need to get to 10 cm before I can have the baby)
I am measuring 37 weeks

Apparently, I went to the Dr. on the exact same day during my pregnancy with Ava (36 wks, 4 days). Last time I was 50% effaced, 1 cm dilated and I was measuring 36 weeks. hmmm. So, it looks like I am a tiny bit more progressed than I was on the same exact day, last go round. It's all relative though, I went to the Dr the day my water broke and I was 50% effaced, 1 cm. So, it doesn't really mean much, maybe...well, what do I know? I told her about all of the contractions that I've been having and she said they're a good thing and they will make things happen. Fine by me!

Liz told me that she would be "more aggressive" with my exam next week and she'd see what we could do. ??? She also suggested that I get a pregnancy massage next week. She said that 2 women went into labor within 48 hours of getting one! I just may have to do that! I guess it's all about pregnancy pressure points. You better believe I'm gonna be looking those up online and giving that a try on my own. Until next week....waddle, waddle.

It sounds like you are ready to have this baby boy! I remember each day at the end hoping that today is the day.

Soon enough!

WOW!!!

The day I went in to labor, I had my doc. appt. and was 0% effaced and 0cm dilated. My doc said nothing was going on at all...little did she know!

You are WELL on your way! That is so awesome. Dean is going to be here so soon. I can't wait!

Yes- I am so ready!
Funny how it's all really a game of chance. Nobody knows. When I went to the Dr on the day my water broke they scheduled me for an induction...13 days later!! I thought I would lose my mind!

Keep your fingers crossed...
