As I posted prior, he's rolling and sitting. He's still jumping away in his jumparoo and spinning around in his exersaucer. His favorite song is The Itsy Bitsy Spider and he's into Peek-a-Boo nowadays too. He also has a funny bone and enjoys his tickle sessions.
Hmmm...what else is new? Let's see...
He tried cereal this month. Organic brown rice cereal, to be exact. I tasted it myself and it wasn't half bad. Sorta sweet. He seemed to like it. He made some pretty funny faces at first, but it didn't take long for him to make friends with his new spoon. We've only just begun, it will be fun exposing him to a whole variety of yummies....and some yuckies too. I can't wait to see what he thinks of avocado. If he's anything like his Mama, he's gonna love it! What else?
Dean is teething! How do I know? Hmmm..let's see.
- Could it be the saliva waterfall that pours from his mouth like a faucet?
- Or maybe the poor, little, chubby, chapped index finger from constant gnawing?
- How 'bout the whine, followed by the aggressive fist to the mouth?
- Don't forget the swollen, tender gums.
- Or the endless supply of soaking wet bibs to wash.
Could it be? Yes, I think so. Watch out- here come the teethers! Who knows how long it'll actually be till we see a pearly white poking through.
Another thing, Dean loves to stand. He will pull himself right up to standing. He loves to hold onto my fingers and pull on up. He has really strong little legs and even takes little baby steps. It's cute and big sister gets a kick out of it.
Dean has started up in the play date circuit. I used to take Ava to story time, infant classes, play dates and various other activities. I would like to expose Dean to the same type of things, so we've been getting around while Sissy is in school. He's still little but I think this type of thing is important. Maybe a little different for Dean, since he's around Ava all the time, but it's good anyway.
Well, we still don't know what color eyes our little man will end up with. They are currently still blue. Time will tell, I suppose.
That's all I can think of.
Happy 5 Month Birthday- Dean the Machine!
