Four interesting observations. Through the eyes of a patriotic 3 year old.
Ironically, all during the singing of My Country 'Tis of Thee.
"Is this all for OUR world?"
(as the flag was waving across the television screen and the grandeur of the moment was obvious)
"Did they say her name was Franklin?"
(excitement that Aretha could somehow be related, in some way, to one of Ava's favorite shows, Franklin)
"Mommy, that hat is gorgeous! I LOVE that bow!"
(in admiration of Aretha Franklin's ensemble)
"I feel bad that the President is gonna be leaving."
(What did she say? What does she mean? I asked. Apparently, she was just showing empathy for Mr. Bush. A bit freaky to hear at first, I must admit.)
